Cloud Developer for building custom cloud solutions with AWS (32 - 40 hours)

The dynamics of the cloud are indispensable in today's world. Many companies are already using it and notice that the cloud is constantly evolving. inQdo grows along with this continuous movement. Therefore, we are looking for a Cloud Developer who wants to further build our custom cloud solutions with AWS.

Our Cloud Developers assist organizations with IT solutions and have a passion for code. If you are looking for a new challenge in this area, then this position might be something for you!

Working at inQdo means working on challenging projects with interesting clients. Think of the Efteling, Sanitairwinkel, and 23G. For us, it's all about quality, delivering excellent service, and building a long-term relationship. This always comes first!

We do this by delivering tailor-made solutions for every type of client. We also call it; Cloud technologies applied in service of the organization instead of the other way around. We first determine what really matters to our clients and ensure that this is translated into our "custom cloud solutions" in the right way.

In addition to caring for our clients, we also take care of our colleagues. inQdo provides a pleasant workplace in Nieuwegein, where you work with the best and most enjoyable colleagues (if we may say so ourselves). We have a flat organization where everyone can give each other feedback, there is room for personal development, and a lot to learn about the profession. In addition, various training courses are offered so that you can improve your soft and hard skills. Due to the informal atmosphere, the team of driven experts is a pleasant place to work.

We give our employees a lot of freedom. Once you can perform your work independently, you can choose your own times and workplace. Ultimately, you know best where and when to perform your work. Because we ultimately do it together, your team is regularly at the office. Not only to work, but also to share knowledge, be informed about the ins and outs of your colleagues, or just for a game or a drink.

What will you be doing?

You will become part of our team of developers, and we will offer you suitable tasks. Once you are ready, you will engage with our clients together with one or more colleagues, building relationships and the cloud together. As a team, you will support organizations on their cloud journey. You will develop the most innovative custom cloud solutions for our clients with your colleagues. Additionally, we deliberately focus on AWS services and continue to develop in this area. You will be kept informed of all services used by inQdo, invited to knowledge sessions and demos, and there is ample time and space for learning and innovation.

You will build, among other things, fully scalable, serverless APIs using function-as-a-service with AWS Lambda, microservices on container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code based on AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit). This may be for one-time solutions for specific tasks, or you may be working on optimizing and improving existing applications and environments. Your code will be used in a wide variety of companies and environments.

What you bring to the table

You are able to translate the client's and/or consultant's requirements into usable solutions based on code, together with your colleagues. You work independently but also in a team of like-minded individuals, sharing knowledge with colleagues and learning from them. Furthermore, you are not hesitant to ask for or provide help when needed, and you still learn from your mistakes. Additionally, you have the knowledge, analytical skills, and communication skills to support discussions with clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.

And if you still have energy left on Friday afternoon? Gather some colleagues at the bar for a drink and a chat! Or maybe you have a fun idea for a team outing?

Furthermore, you have the following practical skills:

  • Proven experience in developing with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Typescript/Node.js, .Net Core;
  • Basic knowledge of AWS and/or other cloud providers such as Azure/GKE;
  • Debugging and troubleshooting skills;
  • Knowledge of DevOps cultures and practices, including collaboration between developers and ops;
  • Optional: Experience with solutions such as serverless and/or containerized environments (Docker/OCI/Kubernetes);
  • Optional: Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and experience with AWS Lambda for developing serverless functions;
  • Optional: Knowledge of CI/CD workflows based on Github Actions/Gitlab CI.

This is what we offer you:

You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and tools in the field of custom cloud computing based on the AWS platform. At inQdo, you will have the space and freedom to truly delve into the very best solutions for your clients. Collaborate in a collegial and inspiring work environment with colleagues who share the same goal. This creates a very open, informal work atmosphere with professional and ambitious results!

Additionally, we offer:

  • Salary range: €3,000 - €5,000 depending on your knowledge and experience;
  • Lease car or mobility allowance and a pension scheme;
  • 26 vacation days and up to five extra days if you're not sick;
  • An annual training budget, and after your probationary period, you can choose a device worth €600 and a fully equipped home office;
  • MacBook (after five years, you can keep it and get a new one);
  • A pleasant workplace including a pool table, PlayStations, simracers, and drinks in our renovated office, as well as the option to work from home;
  • Several staff and team outings per year.
